My school is located in the northwest region of Cambodia, near Si Sophon, amid an endless sea of rice paddies. I must get one of those large straw hats. I'd like to fit in and avoid making a fool out of myself in front of the two cows roaming around.

Holy crap!
I'm going to Cambodia to teach English. What? I don't know what gave them the idea that I am qualified to do this. Sure, I can teach a bunch of privileged white teenagers how to write a research paper, but teaching first graders the alphabet is a different story. Welcome to my journey! I hope you enjoy the trials and joys of this great adventure.
Like any bright and educated individual, I went to the Internet for guidance. I typed "teaching esl" into Google. Guess what? There are about a thousand sites devoted to this topic, complete with sample lessons and tests. Yes! Problem solved.
Armed with my laptop, a set of whiteboard markers, and some heavy duty vaccinations, I think I am prepared.
Now, I just need to figure out how to ride a motorbike...and use chopsticks...and speak Khmer...and teach E.S.L...
