Puppy Love

This is my boyfriend.  He's in 2nd grade.  He's kind of a loner, and although he hangs around the other boys in his class, I've noticed that he mostly stands to the side and watches them while they wrestle each other which is their favorite activity recently.  That's cool.  I've always been more into the intellectual type than a macho man.  He knows my class schedule, and is always on the lookout for me when I am going from one place to another.  He gives more lots of hugs every day, not the gentle pat-on-the-back kind.  These are crushing squeezes that last longer than a normal hug should last.  I should also mention that he is at that height where his head happens to land squarely between my breasts, and he is not shy about using them as a pillow.  Then, he looks up at me adoringly with his puppy dog eyes and rotten teeth.

One time I brought him into my apartment, gave him a toothbrush and toothpaste, and a lesson on how to brush his teeth.  We both practiced, and I told him to brush his teeth every day.  This is not uncommon among the children here.  The parents don't know any better, and since they are all practically toothless, they think it's normal.  Plus, they're poor, so they probably think of toothpaste as a unnecessary luxury item.
Things have gotten pretty serious between us.  He gave me a picture he drew that portrays a house with two people sleeping.  One is a boy and the other is a girl.  He wrote our names on the top, adding a heart to the "i" in my name.  To my relief, we are sleeping in separate beds, but I couldn't help wondering what this meant.  Are we engaged now?  Will his parents approve of me?
